When I was a baby in the church nursery, there were two other little girls who were just a little bit older than me. As we grew up, we got to be friends, and were always together, so we were nicknamed “The Three Muskateers”. We played house and used our dolls as babies. It is hard to believe we are all a quarter of a century old, have houses, and in fact, two now have real live babies. A few weeks ago two of us hosted a baby shower. Here we are, the three stages of motherhood:
not pregnant, pregnant, and post-pregnant-and-here-is-the-proof
Last Friday, the middle one had her baby. A sweet little cutie named McKennah. And I got to meet her when she was only a few minutes old. It is so amazing that such a perfectly created little person could come out of another person. I just don’t understand. God amazingly crafts someone inside their mother and they come out all equipped to breathe and see and eat and poop and make noise. So here she is!
