Pregnancy Highlights
How Far Along: 25 weeks

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Don’t ask!

Maternity Clothes: I am enjoying the jean capris I got from Target!

Best Moment this week: Going to an Astros game with a preggo friend and everyone made comments about us! It is funny all the attention you get when you are pregnant!

Movement: She is still moving mostly low. It will be a while and I will realize I haven’t felt her lately. Then if I sit still long enough, I feel her. One day I was having a little conversation with her and she started moving. I felt like she was talking back!

Food Craving: Still liking milk. I am just up for eating pretty much anything, nothing too specific. Last week I really wanted some banana pancakes, so I finally made some on Monday and they were really good!

What I miss: Not having to arrange myself with pillows in bed.

Sleep: Some nights are good, some aren’t great. Last night I had leg cramps in my calf a couple of times. That is pretty painful! And it aches the next day! I guess I need to eat some bananas!

What I am looking forward to: Still looking forward to her daddy feeling her move. I am also looking forward to our “baby moon” vacation to the beach in a few weeks! Relaxation here I come! I got a swimsuit from Target and I think its fun! It is not my normal pattern style to pick out, but most of the ones I saw out there were halter tops and the halters always hurt my neck.

Belly Button: Still big and flat with the middle starting to poke out the slightest bit. Some times it really hurts in a circle around my belly button!

Symptoms:Indigestion, leg cramps, swelling in my ankles and feet. But overall I feel blessed, I have enjoyed being pregnant and feel pretty good!

I have been getting spam comments. They are copying what other people write in my comments and putting a new name on them. Does anyone else get this?

I have been trying to use up all the travel shampoo and conditioner that we have collected over the years before I buy more. So far it has been like a week and I probably have enough for a couple of more weeks.

Organic milk is like twice the price of regular milk. But I really do feel better about it being free of antibiotics and hormones and such. I really do think we Americans are poisoning ourselves with what we eat and drink. All of the pesticides and hormones and BPA and other chemicals in everything, not to mention eating genetically modified produce and highly processed foods. That did not however stop me from eating out several times this week or enjoying a Blue Bell cookie ice cream sandwich at the Astros game. I am trying to make little changes but no major overhaul in this area.

I have bought tubs to make a keepsake box for each of us so that all the little trinkets and papers we hold on to for sentimental reasons are not scattered about. First the stuff was in boxes and I moved it to the tubs today.

I organized my office closet a few weeks ago and it makes me very happy to look in there and see all the beautiful neatness.

I went through my closet in my classroom and found all the little random objects that one might call “junk” and made a treasure chest for my students. We are doing a ticket reward system and if I draw their ticket they get to pick out of the box. It is funny what they like. Package of peanut butter crackers. Three pens rubber banded together. A bottle of lotion. I am happy with this system so far. I am cleaning out my closet, I didn’t have to spend money on prizes, and they are liking what they get. :)

Well its bedtime!  Have a great Monday!

Preggers Update

preggo girls
Here I am with some dear friends! We are due in August, June, and May, in that order.
I am going to try to post more often about my pregnancy. I found this form on another cute website and so I am going to use that to keep me on track! :)

How Far Along: 22 weeks (OMG, already??)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 12 lbs or so

Maternity Clothes: At first I liked the things with a band that went under the belly. But now I think I am currently liking things with a big panel for more support. It already feels like my belly hurts from the weight a little bit, and it still has lots of room to grow!

Movement: I like that I can tell definite movements now. Earlier I could kinda tell she was moving, but now I know that it must be her. I think today I even felt kicks, really low down!

Food Craving: I never drink milk, but the past few weeks, I have not been able to get enough! I am drinking a lot of milk with oreos, but I also like to just drink a big glass of milk which I NEVER want at all. But now it tastes so good! I wonder if it helps with my heartburn. Or maybe my body needs calcium right now.

What I miss: Sleeping on my back!!!!

Sleep:See above. It hurts my back to sleep on my side. And I asked my mom about that whole “don’t sleep on your back, it cuts off the blood supply through a vein in your back” thing and she said they were never told that back when she was pregnant with me, so I am wondering how valid that concern is! I have also heard that at the point it becomes bad to sleep on your back is also the point where it hurts because the baby weighs so much it hurts, but I don’t know.

What I am looking forward to: Cliff to be able to feel the baby move from the outside. He has tried a few times, but she usually stops. She doesn’t move whole ton or for very long.

Belly Button: Is totally flat!!!! I used to have a very far in “innie” but now it is totally flat! Sometimes it kinda hurts around the belly button, like it is stretching and doesn’t like it!

Symptoms: I have had some indigestion lately. I think chocolate gives it to me and water. I have read that when you drink  a lot of water you could get it, although that sounds weird.

Baby Gear: I have been offered the use of a cradle that my great-great grandfather made (I think that is right, Mom, correct me if I put too many greats in that). I also hung out in this cradle some when I was a baby. Isn’t this a fun picture?
