Today I came across a post where someone was listing out their favorite books of 2012. A lot of them looked interesting and I put them in my goodreads account so I can remember them. As I look back at my books read in 2012, turns out I didn’t read that much! Wonder why? 
I guess I was a little busy, moving to a foreign country and learning another language and all! Ha!

In the spring I read 7: An Experimental Mutiny Against Excess
At the beginning of 2012, I read The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands
I finally read Three Cups of Tea: One Man’s Mission to Promote Peace… One School at a Time
I reread a bunch of things like the The Complete Anne of Green Gables Set 
I am always on the lookout for good book suggestions. I know some of you followers are big readers (Lindsey and mab, I’m talking to you) so I am hosting my first every linky party all about your favorite read of 2012. George RR Martin’s series A Song of Ice and Fire — I finished the first book, A Game of Thrones, and I’m on to the second, A Clash of Kings

F Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby
John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men
Mark Twain’s The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn
Nathaniel Hawthorne’s The Scarlet Letter
Our blog is private, but my favorite reads from 2013 were: The Hunger Games Trilogy, The Mark of the Lion series (I read all 6 of these books in less than a week), and the two Duggar books (which really are fantastic and chock-full of great advice!) Keith zoomed through Killing Lincoln by Bill O’Reilley, so I may try that one next (but I think I’ll try to find 7, too – not sure if I want to buy it, though…) Still, one of my favorite fiction books of all time is Safely Home by Randy Alcorn! Gracefullmama.com just posted her favorite books from 2012 (lady who reads a ton, and whose list from last year, I used quite a bit in picking books to read this year!)
