Lurkers Outed

So I have been perusing statcounter.com to find out how much traffic my blog is getting and from where, and it is quite interesting!

I see that someone has been reading my blog from a Starbucks in Round Rock…..Lindsey perhaps? KarenD?

Robbie must be reading from Australia…Niki in Montana….Leanna in Coppell…mab in NO…Erin in Bastroup….Aunt Kathy or Jenn in Lufkin

It’s fun to see all the locations and try to guess! (If I have somehow breached your security by putting your name and location together, let me know and I will erase it!)

Of all the locations from which people access my blog, some of them I have an idea of who it might be and some I can’t figure out.  I would love to know who you are!! So if you are reading this blog from the following places, you should leave a comment and identify yourself!!!

Hobbes, New Mexico…. You read it a lot…who are you? :)
Pekin, Illinois  (Elizabeth Beck? Jess’s sister?)
Needville, Texas
Raleigh, North Carolina (Judy on vacation?)
Amarillo, Texas
York, Pennsylvania (connected to Keith or Missy?)
Ireland (Sarah?)
Jacksonville, Florida (Jess on vacation?)

And I am curious about who is reading my blog in the UAE??

Wherever you are from, I am glad you found it and keep reading! :)

Ok…so really…if you are not reading this, go read some of it now. It has been such a blessing to read!

So our 7 year old neice is here this week and we have been busy doing everything in H-town, like the Aquarium, Children’s Museum, Zoo, and NASA. If you come to visit, I highly recommend getting a City Pass. It is a good deal.

One that worked and one that didn’t…

I am always on the lookout for good recipes. Especially if they are fast and easy. So Friday I tried a new one called “Sausage, Potatoes, and Peppers”. You can find it here. Works great with deer sausage too. (By the way, if you like the way she shows pictures of each step of the cooking process, look at the left side bar where it says “Fun Stuff” and then “My Cooking Tutorials” and click the + sign and you will see more of these. They look so tasty I just might have to try another one!

But today I tried a Chicken Casserole recipe. Its just as well that I can’t remember where on the internet I found it because it was a dismal failure. It includes egg noodles, chicken, cream of mushroom soup, and shredded cheese. Sounds great right? Well somehow it wasn’t enough liquid to actually soften the noodles, instead, just browning them. Maybe the word “cooked egg noodles” was left off the ingredients list and you were supposed to cook them before, but I don’t know.

Also, I found a really good website for frugal housewife tips that I thought I would share. A friend of a friend linked to her and I thought the grocery shopping tips were really good and it has a printable grocery list and meal planning guide.
