Happy Thanksgiving!

Well the exciting day came last Thursday when our new sweet little girl made her appearance!
Here are a few pictures to whet your appetite. Maybe I can blog again soon, but you never really know when you will get the chance around here!

Our first picture as a family of three!

“Whew! Glad she is finally here!”

“Wow! She is beautiful!”

The proud papa! #1 Dad indeed!!

Getting a record of her (big) footprints!

Daddy thinks Baby Girl is pretty great!

“A little bruise on the eye from my journey, and lots of hair, and I am happy to be here with my family!”
I am 39 weeks pregnant. Get out of town. That is so crazy!
I went to the doctor on Tuesday and…well…there hadn’t been any change since last Tuesday. So she was like “You might have another week or so. Looks like you might make it to your due date after all. That’s just my best guess.” Augggggghhhhhh!!!! So I have decided that doctors have no real idea when you are going to go into labor. It is all just a big guessing game.
So yesterday I walked around the mall for like 3 hours. Today I walked around a different mall for a couple of hours and then had Taco Bell for dinner. (That is what put my mom into labor with me!) I guess being disappointed at a lack of progress made me realize that I am actually ready for her to be here.
If she is born next Monday, her birthday will be 8.9.10. That would be pretty cool.
So since there is no baby news to report, here are some nursery pictures.

The crib is mine from when I was little. Cliff’s mom painted the painting.

My mom made the two quilts. You can see the various sheets and recieving blankets that match.

Here is the changing area with lots of fun books on the shelf. There is a little diaper caddy thingy on the side and and ultrasound picture in the frame.
I am really happy with how it all came together. Now to just put her in it!
(p.s.- Would you pray that C gets to feeling better before I go into labor? He has a sore throat right now and feels yucky and I don’t think it would be good if he felt that way when it was time to go to the hospital!)
Well today is the first predicted day for me to have a baby, and it is 9:47 pm and I have made it through the wedding I wanted to attend without going into labor, so I don’t think it will be today. (Sorry Desi and Issac!)
Here are a few pictures from lately!

37 weeks

38 weeks (wow, it is sticking out there!)

38 weeks (and all dressed up for a wedding!)

Here I am with my sweet hubby!

And here is the “freshman four” as we were called at Columbus. Bryan’s wedding was very nice and it was good to see friends and catch up!
Today we used our “registry completion” 10% off coupons and gift cards at Target and Babies R Us. So fun!!! We had lots of coupons to use at BRU too and so we saved a good bit! And didn’t spend a dime of our own money! Sweet!! Thank you so much to all our wonderful friends and family who have blessed us with gifts for a sweet little girl! We love you all!!
Then I came home and later unpackaged it all and put it away and made a big pile of stuff to wash.
And I just finished making a list of things to pack from the hospital. About half of the stuff is already gathered up and in a bag and I need to work on the rest of it. I compiled what I had in a few books and what I had found on a few websites and made sure to include the suggestions of you guys! Most lists had some of the same things on them. I hope I don’t end up with too big of bags!!
I went to the doctor yesterday and she said I probably won’t make it to my due date, so ha to all you people who picked dates after the 11th! My doctor is going out of state the weekend of the 31st and we have plans to attend a wedding that day, so I am sure that will be when she decides to come! Desi would be right on her guess if that is the case and then she would share a birthday with her friend Issac and also Trina, a friend from HS and college. I think the date that got the most votes was August 4th. I think it would be neat if she was born on August 3rd, since that is my half birthday. We shall see….
I forgot to blog about this when it happened, but right before we found out what the gender of our baby is, I had my students guess what they thought. I left school on a Friday to go to the doctor, and told my students that on Monday they should either wear pink or blue to vote for what they thought I was having.

And here are some of the voting classes:

I don’t remember which got the most votes, but it was fun!
Well I had another great shower this weekend. Here is one great picture and I will do a post with more about it later

Now its your turn to particpate! Leave a comment and guess which day our baby girl will be born! Her official due date is either August 11 or 13, the doctor has said both at different times. I am saying her due date is August 11th. I go to the doctor on Thursday and she will tell me how big she thinks the baby is and all that fun stuff.
Now leave a comment and make your guess!
